Competition Details

Competition Name: NEHAWU / MHA Wish-to-Win Lucky Draw (“the Competition”)

This Competition is subject to the Competition Terms and Conditions which can be accessed on www.mhasa.co.za.

The Competition is promoted by MHA Management Holdings (Pty) Ltd, an Authorised Financial Services Provider FSP#10134, Reg No: 1996/011241/07 (“the Promoter” / “MHA”).

The competition is conducted by the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of the competition at any time at its sole discretion without liability prior to the draw having taken place.

The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this competition.

Entry:

All eligible attendees of the 12th NEHAWU General Congress (“the Congress”) will be entered into the Competition automatically.

The list of eligible attendees is provided by NEHAWU to MHA. The list of eligible attendees (“Participants”) has been prepared and determined by NEHAWU and MHA accepts no responsibility or liability for any omissions or incorrect information received from NEHAWU in this regard, nor will any claim of having been incorrectly omitted as an entrant invalidate any proceedings in relation to the Competition. Congress attendees who are NEHAWU National Office Bearers, NEHAWU Head Office Staff or Guests are not eligible for entry.

By participation, Participants agree that these Rules will govern all aspects of their relationship with the competition and competition-related agents, and the Promoter and by entering or participating in the Competition they agree to these Rules.

No person who is a director, employee, sponsor or agent of or consultant to Promoter or who is a spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner, or associate to a director, employee or agent of or consultant to Promoter is eligible to participate or enter this competition.

This competition is only open to legal residents of the Republic of South Africa.

This competition is only open to participants aged over the age of 18 at the date of entry.

If a participant contravenes these Rules, the participant may, in Promoter’s discretion, be disqualified from the Competition.

Entries reflected on Promoter’s records will be treated as the only validation source and will be the only evidence of successful entries.

There is no cost associated with entering the competition.

Prizes:

  1. One entrant will win the First Prize - a new Suzuki Vitara Brezza 1.5 GL AT;
  2. One entrant will win the Second Prize – a Makro voucher to the value of R10,000 (ten thousand Rand); and
  3. One entrant will win the Third Prize – a Makro voucher to the value of R5,000 (five thousand Rand).

Prizes may not be transferred or exchanged for cash or for any other goods or services.

The First Prize is new and the Winner will be registered as the first owner. However, the First Prize will be provided to the Winner “voetstoots” and MHA will in no way be liable should the First Prize be defective or damaged in any manner.

MHA will ensure that the First Prize remains comprehensively insured up to 23:59 on 30 November 2021 against damages or loss resulting from collision, theft, fire or natural events as set out in the relevant insurance policy held by MHA. However, MHA will not be liable for any damages to the First Prize not covered by the comprehensive insurance policy or in the event that any claim is rejected under the insurance policy for whatever reason and any and all risk relating to the First Prize will transfer to the Winner at the moment that receipt of the First Prize is acknowledged by the Winner. It will be the Winner’s responsibility to ensure that the First Prize is insured from 1 December 2021 onwards.

The First Prize Winner must allow MHA a reasonable period to arrange for the car to be registered and licensed in their name. They must provide MHA with all information and original documentation required for this purpose, including an identity document, together with a driver’s licence (if in possession) and a valid proof of residence.

Gift vouchers are subject to the specific terms and conditions of the specific voucher as determined by Makro, which has no relation to MHA.

Income taxes relating to the Prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winners.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a Prize, with one of equal or greater value if the original Prize is unavailable for whatever reason.

Draw:

There will be one draw held at the venue of the Congress to determine the Winners of the Prizes on 5 November 2021.

The Winners will be randomly chosen via a certified method of selection, being a draw by hand, which selection is overseen by the Auditors of MHA.

Winners will be required to acknowledge receipt of the Prize by signing an “Acknowledgement of Receipt of Prize” form.

The result of the Draw is final and no correspondence or objections will be entered into.

If the Prize Winners are not present at the time of the Draw, they will be notified by telephone, e-mail or any reasonable contact method.

 

Personal Information and Marketing:

Participants in the competition understand and agree that in order to offer the competition, Promoter will collect and use personal information about participants. The personal information collected will only be used for the purposes of this competition and for no other purpose. This Competition is conducted under the terms of applicable privacy statements and legislation governing the processing of personal information.

The Promoter may (at its discretion or where required by law) provide or publish details of the Winner(s).

Prize Winners may be invited to participate in publicity connected to this competition.

By entering the Competition and/or accepting of a Prize, Winners consent to the publication of their name in accordance and for the purpose indicated in this clause. Prize Winners consent to their social profile links and photographs being used in any advertising and promotional material, which consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Participants and Winner(s) absolve the Promoter, its affiliates, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers, nominated agents and dealers from liability from any and all claims howsoever arising, including from wilful misconduct or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any such person.

Personal Data will be used for:

  • Publicity;
  • Advertising and marketing purposes;
  • Educational purposes;
  • Providing Participants with notice on social media platforms, radio and media, of related products, services, promotions and events which may be of interest to them.

Personal data may be used to further purposes. Personal data obtained from Participants, including within their entry or provided as part of the entry submission process or during related administration.

This personal data for this Competition includes:

  • name, contact details, image/likeness, voice;
  • pictures and videos taken during related events.

MHA Privacy Policy is available at www.mhasa.co.za.

The Personal Data will be processed for the administration of the Competition. The Personal Data may also be processed for Further Purposes, including by Third Parties and/or any entity contracted by the Promoter to assist with the administration of the Competition.

This competition is not endorsed or associated with Instagram and/or Facebook and/or any platform on which the competition is advertised or posted.
